Great for a small area with intense light and larger areas with a wide beam bright light. I think the crew on Expedition Bigfoot uses this light. At least it appears so.This flashlight is amazing. Just didnt last long without needing repairI give this light five stars. It's very durable, and it's bright enough to wave down a 747 (ha!).I own several of these. I mainly use them at work for automotive repair. They hold up for years and years to all the crazy chemicals, being dropped, being on ALL day, and constantly being charged/ discharged.I sorta lied about 5 star battery life, but let me explain. This light is best with the lightweight lithium version of the battery. On the brightest setting, it will discharge a battery faster than anyone would like, but hold down the button to it's dimmest setting (still blinding bright) and the light will last many hours. I doubt there is any competition out there for other lights that can be this bright, small, and last that many hours.Great small flashlight for camping/ outdoorsing, but be sure to turn down the brightness if you need it to last for a long trek.Streamlight makes the best flashlights. If you want a powerful flashlight that you can count on its the brand to go with..its super bright even on the dimmest setting. The strobe setting is definitely a debilitating shock to anyone lol..the battery is great charges up pretty quick..its well worth the money for this quality durable flashlight..my boyfriend dropped his in a canal while we were fishing one night..it was underwater for at least 10 min and it still worked...that says 2 things about this flashlight 1 it's very durable 2 he loved the flashlight so much he was willing to jump in the canal to get it backSuper bright.
