I purchased this case for my new iPhone 8. I have used i-Blason cases before and found them to be well made, offering excellent protection. This case meets those expectations. Obvioulsy the uncased phone is gorgeous but I feel like its always a heartbeat aways from shattering, so a case is a must-have. This i-Blason case adds some bulk to the phone, but it looks great, and the clear back allows most of the phone to show. My previous cases all had a solid back, so time will tell how this holds up against scratches. But, better the $20 case than the $700 phone right? It doesn’t quite have the grippy feel of my old case, but it might just be the newness of the case. It provides much better grip than the smooth phone itself. I had initially tried an iphone 8 plus - and also ordered an i-Blason case for that phone. It was beautiful - it almost made me want to keep the plus! I was hoping i-Blason would use the exact same case design for the 8 but they don’t sadly. Still, this one looks better than I expected and I am very happy with my purchase. The button controls seem to work ok with slightly muted feedback. The cover over the silence switch is thick, and it is difficult to use the switch. Not impossible though. The cover over the lightning port is also thick and very stiff - I worry about the tension on the housing of the cable when inserted. Again, I would think this will loosen up with use. Those would be my only two minor concerns. Also - hats off to their engineers - they added a slight gap at one corner between the housing and the face panel/bezel. (This wasn’t on my old iphone 5 case). This makes it much easier to separate the case when needed. Nice touch!
